International Payables powered up!
Here at the Routable labs, we're getting ready for 🎃 Halloween 🎃 and we thought we'd 👻 jump scare you with a couple of new updates to the already-best-in-class international payouts automation we offer: international vendor's choice and international payable editing. Open up your trick-or-treat bag, because we're passing out the full-sized candy bars today!
International Vendor's Choice
Routable has long supported vendor's choice Payables
for domestic payouts. This is super useful when you're creating a Payable but either don't have bank account information for the vendor, or just want to let them pick where to send funds. Well, now you can use that same power when sending money anywhere in the world! Just create your normal international
Payable using the Create a Payable endpoint, but with a delivery_method
of international_vendor_choice
. You'll also need to provide a currency_code_receiver
so we know how to send the loot. Easy!
International Payable Edits
The steak? No, the chicken. Red shirt? Naaah, green. It's okay to change your mind! Sometimes you'll set up a Payable
but then something changes - we send a little more money for a new line item, redirect to a new PaymentMethod
, or just want to change the scheduled send_on
date. This has been no problem with our other four types of Payables for a while now, but international
payouts lacked that power. They lack it no longer! The Update a Payable call now accepts international
Payables, just like its domestic counterparts.
